Treasure Cruise in Geiyo islands

Ikuchijima

This island is one of the leading areas for citrus production in Japan.
Lemons in particular are said to have been cultivated here since the Meiji period, and in recent years, an “eco lemon” is being cultivated using reduced pesticides allowing even the skin to be eaten.
The island is rich in the fragrance of history and culture, featuring such attractions as the Hirayama Ikuo Museum, the Shimagoto Art Museum, and Kosanji Temple.

Must see attractions

Hyotanjima (Gourd Island)

The middle of the island is narrowed, forming a shape much like a gourd.
The island is home to a unique myth about the gods. *It is not open to the public. Please observe it from a distance.

The site of Tawarasaki Fort

This fort was built by the Ikuchi family,
another family active as part of the force of the Geiyo Islands together
with the three Murakami families.

Three story pagoda at Kojouji Temple

The three story pagoda watching protectively over the islands creates a beautiful scene that blends well with the aesthetic of the Islands.
