Treasure Cruise in Geiyo islands

Mukaishima

The name of this island, meaning “facing opposite” in Japanese, stems from its location across the Onomichi Channel from Onomichi.
The view of the boats traveling back and forth across the channel evokes both nostalgia and wanderlust. Here you will find the cultivation of fruits and flowers, taking advantage of the warmer climate. It was also used as a location for a film by director Nobuhiko Obayashi, and is visited by many cinema fans.
